Steven Tyler

Steven TylerUnder the direction under the direction of Frank Connelly, their first manager, they took a few time in Boston's club circuit. The group began working with Steve Leber (New York) and David Krebs (New York). In 1972 they signed a record agreement and debuted their first album. The album was followed by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. and Draw the Line. These albums helped Aerosmith gain international recognition. The albums that inspired them were the basis of famous hits such as "Dream On", Walk This Way as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's early five albums were all multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks are regarded as some of the best album of hard rock to date. As the decade went by however, the band's chaotic schedule of touring, recording and living together was beginning to wear their bodies. In their notorious use stimulants and heroin, Tyler and Perry were sometimes called the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music as well as numerous video recordings of Aerosmith showcase their relationship. Tyler, apparently much more dedicated to the band appeared to dislike Perry's aloofness and envy Perry's focus on women in his life. The tension between Tyler, Perry, and their former girlfriends was an important factor in the gradual decay of Aerosmith, circa 1980.
